Woman Among 3 South Kashmir Individuals Apprehended With 1.5 Kg Charas Consignment in North Kashmir

Srinagar: A woman has been apprehended alongside two other individuals from south Kashmir’s Anantnag, on recovery of a drug consignment in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, an official said.

The official told Alfaaz – The Words, that a naka team intercepted an Alto vehicle bearing registration number JK03M 5166, at Kawari bridge this morning.

“During the searches, the team recovered 1.5kgs of charas from the vehicle,” said the official, adding, “accordingly three persons on board the vehicle were apprehended by the team.”

The official identified the trio as; Zahoor Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Ahmad, Mohammad Yousuf Malla, son of Ghulam Mohammad Malla both residents of Qaimoh Anantnag and Hussaina Begum, wife of Abdul Gani Guroor, a resident of Sangam Anantnag.

“A case has been registered under relevant sections of law for further investigations and proceedings thereof,” added the official.
