Winter Vacations Announced for Government Degree Colleges Falling in J&K’s Winter Zone

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday announced winter vacations for Government Degree Colleges falling within winter zone across the Union Territory.

According to an order issued by the Higher Education Department, colleges falling in the Winter Zone of both Kashmir and Jammu divisions will observe winter vacations from December 24, 2025, to February 14, 2026.

Government Degree Colleges in the Jammu division falling under the Summer Zone will remain closed from January 1, 2026, to February 10, 2026.

The order states that the decision has been taken in the interest of administration and will apply uniformly to all Government Degree Colleges in the respective zones. The directions have been issued with the approval of the competent authority.
