Widescale Rescue Operation Underway Amid Flood-like Situation in Kupwara

Srinagar: A widescale rescue operation is underway in different parts of Kupwara district amid flood-like situation in aftermath of ongoing incessant rains.

“In view of incessant and heavy rainfall across the District Kupwara. Kupwara Police alongwith District Administration, SDRF, CRPF and the Army is carrying out rescue operations,” reads a statement.

“All officers and staff are in the field in order to assist and ensure the safety of the public. We urge all to contact the police in case of any emergency and to not panic,” reads the statement.
