Volleyball Tournament, Organised By Army’s 41 RR, Concludes On A Positive Note

Kupwara: A four day volleyball tournament, organised by Army’s 41 Rashtriya Rifles, concluded here on Friday.

The tournament played between October 15 to October 18, at village Halmatpora, Gonipora, Kupwara was aimed at empowering the youths of the village.

The event was a part of Indian Army ongoing efforts to promote sports, teamwork, and healthy competition among young people in rural areas and to encourage collaboration and sportsmanship among participants, highlight the importance of physical health and active lifestyles and strengthen relationships within the community.

Several teams from Halmatpora participated in the tournament to showcase their prowess and skill.

While the final match of the tournament took place on 18 oct 2024, between Chalgund and Gonipora, it however was Chalgund which prevailed to win the tournament. Winners and runners of the event received trophies, medals, and certificates, even as all participants were given participation certificates to acknowledge their efforts.
