Up Against Political Bigwigs, AIP’s Firdous Baba Files Nomination Papers on Kupwara Segment

Srinagar: In a significant development, the young and dynamic face of Awami Itihaad Party Firdous Baba on Tuesday filed his nomination papers from strategic assembly constituency Kupwara.

Baba overwhelmed by a large number of supporters filed nominations in an atmosphere filled with fervour and hope.

He said in his agenda of change lies the development and progress of Kupwara assembly constituency ‘which has faced historical neglect and apathy’.

Firdous Baba said under sacrificial and visionary leadership of Engineer Rashid AIP would transform Kupwara into an oasis of prosperity, adding that, “AIP believes in restoring dignity of common masses and would not let people of Kupwara down.”

The time has come to throw out hegemonic and dynasty ridden forces from politics, saying further that AIP believes in uplifting of all and would ensure that justice reaches grassroots.

Notably, the Kupwara segment has in fray political bigwigs including JKNC’s Nasir Aslam Wani, JKPC’s Sajad Gani Lone, PDP’s Fayaz Mir, Apni Party’s Mohammad Amin Bhat besides a host of independent candidates.
