Lolab (Kupwara): Socio-political activist and young leader Umar Ashraf alias Salim Ashraf has officially rejoined the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Conference in presence of the party president Sajad Gani Lone.
Salim Ashraf, known for his unwavering commitment to community service, began his political journey at a young age of 14. Now 21, he stands as a role model for the youth of the region. His tireless efforts and dedication to public service reflect his deep-rooted belief in the values of patriotism and nation-building.
Salim has worked selflessly for the upliftment of his community and the larger cause of a strong and united nation.
President Sajad Gani Lone warmly welcomed Salim into the party fold, expressing confidence in his ability to contribute meaningfully to the party’s vision for development, peace, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
Salim’s return to the People’s Conference, among other young entrants, is seen as a positive step toward strengthening the party’s grassroots presence in Lolab and fostering a new generation of leadership committed to inclusive progress.
