Rajouri: Two army men have received injuries in an ongoing gunfight in the Tata Pani area of Kalakote in the Rajouri district of Jammu Division on Tuesday.
Quoting sources, local news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that in the initial exchange of fire, two personnel of the Army sustained injuries.
The injured duo was immediately evacuated from the spot to MI Hospital for treatment, where their overall condition is said to be stable.
Meanwhile, an army official said that the operation in the area is underway to track down the militants hiding.
He said intense operations are underway in the woods of the Kalakote area of Rajouri to monitor the militants.
The operation is being jointly led by the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, the officer added.
Pertinent to mention here that the encounter broke out in the woods on Monday evening after a day-long search operation. (KS)
