Tree Fall Causes Extensive Damage to School Building in Handwara Village Amid Heavy Snowing

Handwara: A government school building in Mawer area of Handwara suffered substantial damage after a tree collapsed onto it amid ongoing heavy snowfall.

As per locals, the tree, weighed down by accumulated snow, fell on the Government Primary School at Muqam Yahama, damaging the roof and other infrastructure of the building.

Following the incident, the matter was brought to the notice of the concerned authorities.

A damage assessment is expected to be carried out, after which necessary measures will be taken to repair the structure and ensure the safety of the premises before academic activities resume.
