Qalamabad: A training program, under the aegis of SAMAGRA Shiksha, involving School Management committees (SMCs) school management and development committees (SMDCs) on Tuesday organised here at Government middle School Qalamabad by the Zonal Education Office zone Mawer.
The program was presided over by CEO Kupwara Ab Hamid fani Deputy CEO Kupwara Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, ZEO Mawer Abdul Ahad lone Headmaster BMS Qalamabad Farooq Ahmad Malik, BDC Chairman Mawer Tahir Ahmad Mir, Staff member parents and PRI’s were present on the occasion.
Community leaders were sensitized and trained with various topics including roles and responsibilities of SMC, SMDC, account record keeping and maintenance, inclusive education, Right to Education (RTE), Out of School Children (OoSC) etc.
Community Members were acquainted with the roles and responsibilities of SMCS, SMDCS, members in the development of Schools. They were requested to come forward and revive the Education System for the future of children of their locality. They were also made aware about government schemes like Mid Day Meal programme, Free textbooks, free uniforms for class 1st to 8th.
While addressing the gathering, CEO Kupwara Ab Hamid Fani highlighted the role of the community in attaining the goal of quality education.
Zonal Education Officer Mawer Ab Ahad lone also elaborated the role and responsibilities of the School Management Committee.
Cluster Head Qalamabad Syed Kifayat Ahmad presented a Vote of Thanks.
