Shopian: In a significant move to streamline the patient registration process and reduce long queues at the District Hospital Shopian, healthcare authorities have introduced a cutting-edge solution by introducing QR-based registration at the health facility.
The hospital administration held an awareness programme on Thursday to unveil the newly adopted registration system.
“The traditional method of registering for Outpatient Department (OPD) services often led to overcrowding and extended waiting times for patients and with the implementation of the digital QR-based system, patients can now register for their OPD appointments quickly and efficiently”, said a medical official.
District Hospital Shopian in extension to this initiative simultaneously held an awareness programme regarding the QR-based registration.
The hospital authorities had roped in Pharmaceutical shop owners, Traders Federation, Senior Citizens of district Shopian to educate them about the nuances of new way of registration.
Medical Superintendent Shopian Ms. Rubeena Maqbool said that the digital OPD registration system is designed to save time for patients.
“By opting for this method, patients can secure their appointments in advance and avoid the hassle of waiting in long queues.”
Officials from district hospital and administration highlighted the benefits of QR based OPD registration.
ACR Shopian Shahbaz Boda, Rubeena Maqbool Medical Superintendent, Shahnawaz Khaki Drug Inspector Shopian, Raja Waheed DDC and other officials were also present during the occasion.
