Srinagar: In another setback to Peoples’ Democratic Party ahead of assembly polls, another leader has resigned from the Mehbooba Mufti led party.
Informing the party President of his decision of his resignation, Tahir Sayeed, who had been a spokesperson of the party, wrote, “It’s with a heavy heart that I write this unpleasant letter of resignation from the post of Spokesperson and basic membership of the party.”
“It was a great and learning experience to serve the party and our people. I wish you and the party the very best,” Tahir wrote.
Concluding his brief letter with a couplet, Tahir wrote, “Tere badalne ka dukh nhi hai mujhe, Main toh mere yaqeen pe sharminda hun.”
The resignation of Spokesperson Tahir Sayeed comes days after Chief Spokesperson Suhail Bukhari left the Peoples’ Democratic Party to join Congress.
