Sogam: Tehsil administration Sogam on Wednesday carried out an anti-encroachment drive during which an encroached upon patch of land under Survey number 1394 was retrieved.
An official in the knowhow of things said that an encroachment drive was carried out by Tehsildar Saqib Murtaza alongside Naib Tehsildar and other revenue officials.
The officials retrieved a patch of land under Survey number 1394, encroached upon by a few families for several decades, which had been creating hurdles vis-a-vis the smooth conduct of the drive.
The act was hailed by locals, who in the meantime expressed hope that the administration will continue with the drive in days to come.
The officials on the occasion asked the people to give up their possession on the encroached upon land or be ready to face action.
