Handwara: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Handwara, Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhury (JKPS), presided over public interaction programs at Panchayat Ghar Monabal and Shilthara to engage with the local community and address their concerns. The events were attended by community leaders, social activists, religious heads, traders, and prominent citizens from Qalamabad and nearby areas.
The interaction programs were also attended by Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Handwara, Zaffer Nawaz (JKPS), along with the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Qalamabad and other senior officers.
During the sessions, various issues and grievances were brought forward by the attendees, with a focus on police-related matters that were addressed on priority. Civil issues were assured to be referred to the relevant departments for swift action.
SSP Handwara emphasized the significance of grassroots policing as a means to build trust between the police and the public. He also underscored the need for collective efforts to combat social issues, particularly drug abuse, and encouraged a mission-driven approach to community service.
The programs concluded with an exchange of thanks, reflecting a spirit of collaboration and mutual understanding between the police and the local community.
