Srinagar MP Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi Tables Bill To Seek Prohibition on Public Drinking

Srinagar: Member of Parliament from Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi has tabled a bill before House of People to seek prohibition on consumption of booze in public.

Ruhullah, the senior JKNC leader, said in an ‘X’ post, as per Alfaaz-The Words, “I am submitting a private member’s bill to enforce, implement and promote the complete Prohibition of liquor and intoxicants in the J&K.”

“I hope this bill gets tabled in the Parliament during this session or the next. I also hope I get the support of the fellow Parliamentarians to get this bill passed (sic.),” the post reads.
