Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Bilal Mohi Uddin Bhat on Tuesday said that the intense efforts are on to trace out the missing three persons.
While responding to the media at the boat capsizing incident, Deputy Commissioner said that on Tuesday morning at around 7:45am this morning, a boat capsizing incident took place.
As per the information, around 15 persons were onboard in which seven were minors and eight were adults and eventually massive search and rescue operation was launched with the coordination of locals, SDRF, NDRF and army teams.
During the rescue operation, out of 15 persons, 12 persons were rescued in which six have died and other six are stable now and among them, three are being treated at the hospital and other three are at their home with stable conditions.
“As of now, teams SDRF, NDRF, army, police, Civil Administration are at the site and are monitoring the situation. As per the latest figure, three persons including three students and an adult are still missing and we are making every effort to trace them out as soon as possible,” DC said.
“Three, who are still missing, searching & rescuing them are our first priority. To search & rescue them, we have four teams of SDRF, two teams of NDRF & Navy police and Marco’s have been also called in,” he said, adding “Our efforts are on towards the possible areas to identify the areas with the help of boats to search the other missing persons.”
