Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said to have arrested three persons, including a Special Police Officer (SPO), with drugs in north Kashmir’s Handwara.
A Police Spokesperson, as per a statement, according to news agency GNS, said that a team of Handwara Police Led by SHO Kralgund established a Naka at Ananwan Crossing Kralgund, during checking three persons were apprehended namely Irshad Ahmad Gazi son of Gh Rasool Gazi, resident of Kralpora Kralgund, Sajad Ahmad Rather son of Mohd Subhan Rather resident of Kralpora Kralgund and Syed Anwar Geelani (SPO) presently posted at Kupwara son of Syed Sharief-ud-din Geelani resident of Tangwari kunnel,during their personal search 105 grams of contraband Charas like Substance was recovered from their possession.
“All the accused were arrested on spot.”
The police spokesman further stated that in this regard, a case vide FIR No. 67/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Kralgund and an investigation has been initiated.
