Socio-political Activist, His Wife Join J&K Apni Party

Srinagar: In a political development ahead of Lok Sabha polls on Central and South Kashmir seats, the socio-political activist Waqar H. Bhatti alongside his wife Roohi Bhatti joined Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party here on Saturday.

Bhatti joined the Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari led Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party alongside his wife Roohi Bhatti – who as per her ‘X’ bio still on the post of Coordinator in PDP’s Youth Wing and Tribal Cell.

Notably, Bhatti alongside several other social and political activists had launched a political party under the name ‘J&K Awami Tehreek’ last year – Bhatti was nominated as Chairman of the political outfit. However off late the party hardly have had any political activity which is said to be the reason of him leaving ‘J&K Awami Tehreek’ and joining ‘Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party’.
