SIA Arrests Batamaloo Resident in Connection with Delhi Blast

Srinagar: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Saturday apprehended a resident of Diyarwani, Batamaloo, in connection with the Red Fort blast that occurred in New Delhi earlier this month, officials said.

News agency GNS cited officials as saying that an individual identified as Tufail Niyaz Bhat, was taken into custody following the emergence of significant leads suggesting his alleged involvement in the November 10 incident.

They added that the arrest forms part of the broader, ongoing investigation being conducted by the SIA in coordination with concerned agencies to ascertain the full chain of events and individuals linked to the blast.

Further investigation is underway.
