Srinagar: Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav has highly condemned the dastardly militant attack on tourists in Pahalgam, which left at least twenty-six dead and many others injured. Yadav has demanded a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident to make the culprits accountable for the heinous act.
“I am deeply saddened and disturbed by the unfortunate incident that occurred in Pahalgam. The loss of innocent lives and the trauma faced by those affected is not just tragic—it is unacceptable in a country that claims to be governed by law and justice,” reads a statement issued here.
“The people of Kashmir, and especially regions like Pahalgam, have endured decades of pain and alienation. It is the responsibility of every government—whether at the Centre or in the state—to ensure peace, protection, and dignity for every citizen, regardless of region or religion,” reads the statement as per Alfaaz – The Words.
“We demand a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident. The truth must come out. And those responsible—whether it is due to negligence, excess use of force, or any form of injustice—must be held accountable.”
“I also urge the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to ensure that such incidents are not politicized or brushed aside under the garb of national security. Real national security lies in the safety and trust of every citizen—from Kanyakumari to Kashmir,” the statement reads.
“The Samajwadi Party stands in solidarity with the people who have lost their life.We will raise this issue both inside Parliament and on the streets until justice is delivered,” reads the statement further.
