Srinagar: The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has approved the posting of R.R Swain as Incharge Director General of Police in addition to his existing charge.
Swain, IPS (AGMUT: 1991), who currently is holding the charge as Special DG, CID, Jammu and Kashmir, will take over the charge as DGP on November 1, 2023.
“With the approval of Competent Authority, Shri R.R Swain, IPS (AGMUT:1991) presently posted as Special DG, CID, Jammu and Kashmir will also function as in-charge Director General of Police, Jammu & Kashmir in addition to his existing charge with effect from 01.11.2023 and until further orders”, reads an order.
