Srinagar: Well if any team has hogged limelight despite putting up a bad show in the ongoing mega event in India, it undoubtedly has to be the Green Shirts.

This Babar Azam led unit has been the talk of the town for many reasons, and intriguingly they aren’t minding it, at least apparently.

Surprisingly a team which arrived to India while still ranked as Number 1, met several failures along its campaign and is virtually hinges by a thread to see itself breaking into Semis’.

It was the host India which took on the much touted bowling attack of Pakistan and shredded it like anything and as if it wasn’t enough came Australia which too made the things worse for the Green Shirts.

Putting up a valiant effort effort against South Africa, the team looked as if it would go through but not only it lost to South Africa, after ages literally, it was followed by a shocking defeat at the hands of Afghanistan.

Currently out of top four on points table, the Green Shirts are banking a lot on ‘Qudrat Ka Nizam’, while on the contrary it had have to on the hardwork. As the talk goes, if that team beats this team and if the team loses by this much runs and the other wins by that much wickets, it to be simply put narrows down to permutations, the ‘Qudrat Ka Nizam’ in parlance of Pakistan and its fans.

And if you ask is there any hint of ‘Qudrat’ conspiring to see the team through, the answer is a big ‘YES’ – and it is the only thing that may come to the rescue of a struggling unit (and its struggling skipper).

The permutations suggest that Pakistan has a chance, though distant, to make it to the Semis’. For now, the team needs to produce some show against New Zealand in a must win game, for both teams though, to wait till other equations fall in line.

New Zealand, currently fourth in the standings with 8 points from 7 matches, is desperate for a win after a series of defeats and on the other hand, Pakistan after defeating Bangladesh have sensed a glimmer of hope for the knockout stage.

The pitch at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium is known to favor batters, with Pakistan having been involved in a high-scoring game against Australia a few weeks ago.

With all the makings of an instant classic, all eyes will be on the weather in Bengaluru, which doesn’t paint a good picture at the moment.

The clash is scheduled to take place on November 4 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and the weather forecast for the day suggests that the game might be affected by rain.

According to Accuweather, there is a 68% chance of rainfall during the day, with the possibility of thunderstorms as well. The temperature is expected to range between 20 and 28 degrees Celsius, with considerable cloud cover throughout the day.

The toss is expected to take place at 10 AM IST and the match is expected to start half an hour later.

However, the forecast suggests that the match could be shortened due to the predicted rain, although it’s not expected to be severe enough to completely wash out the game.

As the day progresses, the probability of precipitation reduces to 25%, indicating clearer weather towards the evening.

Weather.com also doesn’t have any good news regarding the forecast for Saturday, November 4. There is an 18 percent chance of rain at 10:30 when the game is expected to start. This is expected to increase as the game progresses with thunderstorms predicted at 1:30 PM.

Fans can expect the game to be a shortened affair with a late toss if the forecast is to be believed. A washout wouldn’t help Pakistan as their semi-final hopes would take a hit if they’re forced to share the points with the Blackcaps.
