Kupwara: In a remarkable display of community spirit, Public Welfare Trust Doursa (Lolab) and Care for Humanity Trust jointly organized a Blood Donation Camp at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Sogam, Lolab, in collaboration with SDH Kupwara. The event, sponsored by HDFC Bank, Handwara, marked a milestone as the first-ever Blood Donation Camp held at SDH Sogam.

The camp was inaugurated by Block Medical Officer Sogam Doctor Fareed Shaheen in the presence of esteemed personalities from Lolab Valley Including president Markazi Awqaaf Islamiya Lalpora Mahmood ul Hassan Shah, Social activist Er Mudasir and others who also donated blood, with volunteer group members.

The event saw an overwhelming response, with 51 blood pints collected from generous donors from various parts of the valley.

Notably, Hafız Sarfaraz Ahmad, Chairman of Public Welfare Trust, led by example, donating blood to support the noble cause.

This initiative underscores the commitment of local organizations and individuals towards promoting public health and well-being in the region.

It is pertinent to mention here that Public Welfare Trust Dorusa Lolab, spearheaded by the youth of Dorusa Wani, has emerged as a beacon of hope for the underprivileged in the region. This visionary organization has undertaken numerous philanthropic endeavors fostering positive change and promoting social welfare.
