Proposal Mandating Government Employees To Enroll Their Children in State-run Educational Institutions Under Active Consideration

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has been actively discussing a new directive aimed at ensuring enrolment of children of government employees in state-run schools.

The directive outlines proposal advocating for the compulsory enrolment of children of government employees in state-run educational institutions.

This measure aims to support and enhance the quality of public education by increasing student enrollment in government schools and ensuring that the children of those who serve in the public sector benefit from the same educational resources.

The directive has been forwarded to the Administrative Secretary of the School Education Department with instructions to evaluate the proposal and implement the necessary actions according to established regulations.

Furthermore, the School Education Department is required to provide a detailed report on the actions taken in response to this directive.

This initiative reflects the governmentโ€™s commitment to strengthening the public education system and ensuring equal access to quality education for all, including the families of government employees.

The SED has, as per a report, formally communicated to the respective directors in Jammu and Kashmir provinces, asking them to assist in appropriate measures in accordance with the laid down rules.

The DSEJ has in the meantime already communicated to CEOs and sought from them their view point in the matter.
