Srinagar: Power supply to several areas has been affected after a Chinar tree, close to a high tension wire, caught fire in Bagh-e-Mehtab area on Friday evening.
As learnt, the electricity supply to areas connected to Bagh-e-Mehtab Receiving Station, has been affected for over three hours – when this report was being filed.
The fire tenders are on the job to put out the fire and the restoration of the power supply may take some more time.
