Power Shutdown Announced for Various Valley Parts

Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Saturday announced power shutdown in several parts of Kashmir division in upcoming days.

In a communication shared by Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of 33 KV Nihalpora-Gulmarg line will be observed due to which power supply to Tangmarg, Gulmarg, Khyber, Base Station, Cable Car and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 11 & 14 January 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Ganapora Tap line will be observed due to which power supply to Safalpora, Ganapora, Renin, Langate and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 12 & 15 January 2026.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Shariefabad Wadwan line and 33 KV Shariefabad Narbal line will be observed due to which power supply to Sharifabad, Durbal, Soibugh, Bonpora, Astanpora,Wadwan, Cheki, Hathran, Hanjikpora, Dharmuna, Russu, Gotpora, Pymus, Narbal, Kawoosa, Lawaypora, Sozeith, Sanoor, Malpora, Redbugh, Railway Station Mazhama and adjoining areas will be affected from 12 Noon to 03 PM on 12 January 2026

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Rawalpora Bagh-i-Mehtab line will be observed due to which power supply to Baghimehtab, Kralpora, Mochwa, Old Mochwa and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 11 & 15 January 2026.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Rawalpora Chanapora line will be observed due to which power supply to Chanapora, Naikbagh, Natipora, Baghat, Sanat Nagar and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 15 January 2026

Furthermore, shutdown of 33 KV Ichgam Kanir Tap line will be observed due to which power supply to Barwah, Nowpora, Kanir, Hushur, Zuhama, Hanjoora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:30 AM to 03 PM on 11 January 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 132 KV and 33 KV Switchyard of 132/33 KV, 140 MVA, Cheshmashahi will be observed due to which power supply to Brane, Nishat, Dalband, Shalimar, Centaur, B.B. Cantt., Buchwara, Nedous, TRC, Sonwar, Badamibagh, GB Panth and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 12 January 2026.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Rawalpora Chanapora & Bagh-i-Mehtab line will be observed due to which power supply to Chanapora, Naikbagh, Natipora, Baghat, Sanat Nagar, Baghmehtab, Kralpora, Mochwa and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 19 January 2026.
