Police Attach Two-Storeyed Residential House in UAPA Case in Kupwara

Kupwara: Kupwara Police on Thursday attached a two-storeyed residential house belonging to an accused in connection with an Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) case.

Officials said the property of Wali Mohammad Mir, son of Mohammad Sadiq Mir and a resident of Marsari, Chowkibal in Kupwara district, was attached in connection with FIR No. 53/2025 registered at Police Station Kralpora.

The case has been registered under Sections 7/25 of the Arms Act and Sections 13, 23 and 39 of the UAP Act.

The attachment was carried out in compliance with PHQ Order No. 4589 of 2025 dated December 8, 2025, which was duly approved by the Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir. Police said the action was executed strictly in accordance with the law.

Authorities reiterated that such measures form part of sustained efforts to curb unlawful activities and dismantle networks involved in activities prejudicial to the security of the region.
