Kupwara: A pipping ceremony to honour 125 trained police personnel, was held in District Police Lines here on Sunday.
The event saw 71 cops being promoted to Assistant Sub-inspector, Head Constable and Selection Grade ranks. 53 Special Police Officers’ (SPOs) were also promoted to Constable rank on the occasion.
The event was graced by Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara Shobhit Saxena, Additional Superintendent of Police Kupwara GM Bhat, DySP Headquarter Mohammad Amin Bhat, DySP DAR Syed Mujhahid-ul-Haq, DySP Lolab Raies Ahmad, SHO Women’s Police Kupwara Dalbir Kaur Inspector Riyaz Ahmad and other senior officials of the Police department, besides the families of the promotees.
SSP Shobhit Saxena alongside other Police officials heartily felicitated the promotees and wished them all the best for the times ahead.
The event wore a festive look as the senior police officers as well as families of the promoted cops were seen exchanging warm wishes and bouquets amongst one another.
