Srinagar: The overall polling percentage in Phase-I of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, being held across 24 segments, has reached 58.19% till 5 PM.
The segment wise polling recorded is as; Anantnag – 41.58% Anantnag (West) – 45.93%, Banihal – 68% Bhaderwah – 65.27 %, DH Pora – 65.21 %, Devsar – 54.73%, Doda – 70.21 %, Doda (West) – 74.14 %, Dooru – 57.90 %, Inderwal – 80.06 %, Kishtwar – 75.04 %, Kokernag (ST) – 58 %, Kulgam – 59.58 %, Padder-Nagseni – 76.80%, Pahalgam – 67.86%, Pampore – 42.67%, Pulwama – 46.22%, Rajpora – 45.78%, Ramban – 67.34%, Shangus – Anantnag (East) – 52.94 %, Shopian – 54.72%, Srigufwara-Bijbehara – 56.02 %, Tral – 40.58 % and Zainapora – 52.64 %.
“Heading towards a huge voter turnout, the 24 assembly constituencies have recorded 58.19 percent voting till 05:00 pm,” Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, PK Pole said.
