Srinagar: J&K Peoples Conference President & Party’s Baramulla seat candidate Sajad Gani Lone on Monday held a massive public rally at Lalpora besides carrying out a roadshow across Lolab.

Lone while addressing the gathering assured the people to construct the Lolab-Bandipora road on priority.

“Lolab-Bandipora road construction has been a long pending demand of people, and I assure once I am voted to power this dream of yours will be realised at any earliest,” Lone said.

The senior political leader on the occasion also assured to renovate the abode of top Islamic Scholar Maulana Anwar Shah Kashmiri.

Alleging the National Conference for their deliberate neglect towards Lolab – otherwise known for its huge tourism potential, Lone said that, “Lolab’s potential as a bustling tourist destination remained untapped, as they (NC) prioritized the imposition of PSA’s over fostering development & public welfare.”

“What has befallen us due to the lack of resolve and political myopia of NC leaders for the past three decades shall now become a reality within the next five to ten years,” said Lone, adding that those asking votes for NC are “enemies to the future of your children.”

Lone on the occasion, to the much enthusiasm of the gathering, announced the nomination of known Social Activist Mahmood-ul-Hassan Shah as State Spokesperson of the party.

The JKPC later on carried out a road-show across Lolab valley, which was met with a great response by the local populace as it raced out of the area – known for its rich political legacy.
