Independent weather forecasting agency ‘Kashmir Weather’ in a statement issued here said that two Western Disturbances’ in quick succession are going to affect Jammu and Kashmir over the next 5 days.

While the agency forecasted 10 March (today) to see generally cloudy weather conditions, it says that there is a possibility of light rain and snow on March 11 – the day when the devoted would be all eyes to the sky to look for the crescent for the holy month of Ramadan.

For March 12, there is nothing significant expected though light rain and snow can occur in a few areas.

March 13 and 14 on the other hand are expected to remain quite turbulent as the intensity of the WDs is likely to perturb the weather system. Light to moderate rain and snow is expected in most areas of Jammu and Kashmir, which is expected to be followed by heavy snowfall bout in a few higher reaches and as expected is very likely to bring a significant dip in day temperatures.
