Srinagar: A Delhi Court on Monday reserved its order regarding transfer of an ongoing case against Member Parliament Er. Rashid, to the MP/MLA Court.
As learnt, the Court today reserved it’s order on whether to continue the proceedings of the case against Er. Rashid in the same Court or transfer it (case) to the MP/MLA Court, since Er. Rashid is an elected Member Parliament.
The Principal District & Sessions Court will announce the decision regarding the matter on November 27 (Wednesday).
In the meantime, the Court has asked NIA to respond to an interim bail application moved by the Counsel of incarcerated Member Parliament – to allow him to participate in Moonsoon session gone underway from today.
Notably, Er. Rashid continues to languish in Tihar jail in an alleged militant funding case, after briefly let on parole for campaigning in recently concluded Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
