On Mothers’ Day Eve, Ehsaas Foundation Salutes the Strength, Resilience of Kashmiri Mothers

Srinagar: On eve of Mothers’ Day 2025, Ehsaas Foundation (NGO) expresses sincerest gratitude and respect to the mothers of Jammu and Kashmir, who remain the unspoken support system of our families and society.

Kashmiri mothers have borne generations with stoic strength, limitless sacrifices, and unwavering love—often putting their own health last. From widows bringing up children alone to aging mothers forgoing their comfort for their loved ones, their tales are a testament to strength and grace.

“A mother’s love doesn’t shout out in Kashmir. It’s found in the actions that go unspoken—willingly going hungry, secretly hiding pain, and offering up more than you have. And today we affirm, we hear you, we honor you,” said Ehsaas Foundation in a statement.

The Foundation promotes greater awareness of the health and welfare of women and calls on families and communities to recognize, support, and celebrate the mothers who have shown their grit, determination and resilience, and given their lives without any kind of recompense.
