[Handwara]: NTPHC Qalamabad on Thursday organised a free eye medical camp in its continued endeavour among the series of camps to be organised for the welfare of people of farflung areas.

ZMO Qalamabad, Dr. Afroza Ahad said motto is to provide quality health services at the doorsteps for the citizens of Mawer block. “More camps are coming up as per the schedule.”

The doctors had come from different cities for the noble cause, she said.

The medical camp was held at NTPHC Qalamabad where more than 330 patients had come from all nearby villages of mawer block.

The people were mostly of age 40 yrs and above, women alongwith their small children had also come. The ZMO Qalamabad Dr Afrooza Ahad was also present during the event.

The doctors also distributed medicines for minor ailments and health issues pertaining to cold, old age problems and other infections.

Old-aged persons with eye sight problems who are not able to visit sgr hospitals were benefitted from the medical camp.

Old locals and women of the area had witnessed a health drive at such a large scale for the first time and appreciated the efforts put in by ZMO Qalamabad Dr Afroza Ahad.
