Now Div Com Kashmir Orders Closure of Schools in Several Kashmir Parts

Srinagar: In view of prevailing circumstances Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on Wednesday ordered closure of all educational institutions in several parts of Valley.

“In view of the prevailing situation  all Schools, Colleges & educational institutions in Baramulla, Kupwara and Gurez will remain closed tomorrow on May 08,” reads a communique.

“The schools around Awantipora & Srinagar Airport shall also remain closed tomorrow,” the communique reads.

“The directive is issued as a precautionary measure,” reads the communique further.

The directions come shortly after Divisional Commissioner Jammu ordered closure of all educational institutions in five districts in the division.
