Now Complaint Against Virat Kohli over Bengaluru Stadium Stampede

Bengaluru: An activist on Friday filed a complaint against star Indian cricketer and Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) batter Virat Kohli in connection with the stampede outside M Chinnaswamy Stadium during the franchise’s maiden IPL victory celebration, which killed 11 people.

The complaint was lodged by HM Venkatesh, a resident of Karnataka’s Shivamogga district, at Bengaluru’s Cubbon Park police station, which is near to the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In response, the Cubbon Park police said the complaint will be considered under an already registered case and it will be verified during the course of the investigation.

On Wednesday, 11 people died and over 50 others were injured in the stampede near the cricket stadium when a special felicitation ceremony was organised by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to honour the RCB players after the franchise won their maiden IPL trophy after 18 years.
