Notorious Timber Smuggler Booked Under PSA in Lolab Kupwara: Police

Kupwara: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kupwara’s Lolab Sunday booked a notorious timber smuggler under stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).

“SHO Police Station Lalpora under the Supervision of DYSP PC Lolab and overall supervision of Sr. Superintendent of Police District Kupwara on 28-07-2024 arrested a notorious timber smuggler namely Shabir Ahmad Lohar, son of Late Ab Aziz Lohar, resident of Lohar Mohalla Dever Lolab who was absconding from PSA warrant since 03-05-2023,” reads a statement issued to Alfaaz – The Words.

“The general public hailed the action of the Police against such criminals in the society.”

“The action has delivered a major blow to the forest smugglers who damage the government/public property,” the statement further reads.
