Non-local Driver Comes Under Militant Attack in Shopian: Report

Shopian: Militants attacked a non-local driver in the south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday evening.

News agency Kashmir Scroll quoted a top police officer as saying that militants fired upon a non-local driver, identified as Paramjit Singh, a resident of Delhi in Shopian district, injuring him critically.

He said that the injured driver was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he was referred to a Srinagar medical institution for advanced treatment.

He said that the whole area has been sealed to nab the attackers.
