Non Bailable Warrant Issued Against MLA Doda Mehraj Malik

Srinagar: A Court in Jammu has earlier this week issued a non-bailable warrant against incumbent MLA Doda Mehraj Din Malik aka Mehraj Malik.

The Court of Special Excise Mobile Magistrate, Janipur Jammu issued the warrant in case titled Ghulam Rasool Saroori vs Mehraj Din Malik, under section 499 of Indian Penal Code.

Section 499 talks about defamation when someone makes or publishes a statement (which can be spoken, written, by signs, or visible representations) that harms another person’s reputation.
