NEET aspirant from south Kashmir dies allegedly by suicide in Kota

Srinagar: A NEET aspirant from south Kashmir’s Anantnag, has died allegedly by suicide in Kota city in Rajasthan.

As per reports, according to Alfaaz – The Words, one Zeeshan Jahangir (18), a resident of Verinag Anantnag, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her paying guest room in Pratap Chouraha area.

Zeeshan reportedly returned to Kota just a month ago to prepare for the medical entrance examination through self-study.

“It has emerged that before taking the extreme step, Zeeshan, had spoken to a relative of her’s on the phone last night and told him that she might commit suicide before hanging herself,” Circle Inspector Ramesh Kavia, posted at Mahaveer Nagar Police Station, has said.

Pertinent to mention here that the incident is fifteenth of its type this year and second this month alone.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Students’ Association has urged Advisor-to-CM Nasir Aslam Wani for intervention to facilitate return of mortal remains of the girl to her home in Verinag Anantnag.
