Srinagar: After days of thorough parleys, the talks between National Conference and Indian National Congress have finally materialised with the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference expectedly fetching a lion’s share getting mandate on 51 constituencies. The second largest partner of the alliance, in context to Jammu and Kashmir, Indian National Congress has got mandate on 32 seats.
With CPI(M) and Panthers’ Party getting one seat each, the alliance would be joining a friendly contest on five seats.
Notably, the assembly elections in J&K are scheduled to be held in three phases, with the first phase being held on September 18, second on September 25 and third phase on October 1 and the results to be declared on October 4.
