Lolab (Kupwara): After undergoing an extensive tour and enquiring from the people of their grievances of Lolab valley, Member Parliament Er Rashid has assured the people of the area of redressal of all the genuine grievances in a time-bound manner.

Among the main issues that were delved and deliberated upon by the Member Parliament after meeting the public delegations included; the preparation of DPR for Lolab-Dardpora-Bandipora road and of Tekipora-Zaloora-Sopore road within a month’s time.

Conceding to the genuine demand for the construction of Tehsil building at Lalpora, the MP sanctioned on spot an amount of rupees ten lac for the project.

The MP directed PDD Department to start Dever power receiving station on priority.

The MP directed Chief Medical Officer Kupwara to operate day and night Tekipora hospital.

The MP concerned sanctioned for the Lalpora hospital, a solar plant and USG machine, from his MP fund.

Deputation of a lady doctor was sought from the authorities at Lalpora hospital.

He also sanctioned rupees five lac for dialysis machinery at SDH Sogam.

Er. Rashid asked the authorities to prepare a DPR for Shatmuqam bridge on a war-footing basis.

He also sanctioned the procurement of furniture for all Higher secondary schools in Lolab constituency.

During his visit to Maidanpora, Er Rashid asked staff concerned to prepare a DPR for upgradation of Maidanpora hospital at an earliest.

Among the other matters that received MP’s attention and immediate consideration, as per Alfaaz – The Words, included the setting up of a JK Bank branch at Tekipora; preparation of DPR for Affan-Warnow bridge, full functionality of water supply schemes for Dooniwari, Surigam, Putushai, Wavoora and Chandigam; DPR for Dooniwari and Surigam road; Hotline for Maidanpora hospital, Water tanker facility on regular basis for Dar-ul-uloom Tekipora, public library at Warnow Shahabad, Improvement of canal at Maidanpora.

The visiting dignitary, in presence of party Chief Spokesperson Inam-un-Nabi party leaders Firdous Baba, Adv Dawood Bashir Bhat and other party members, also directed the Rural Department to prepare DPRs for various play fields in Lolab and also asked the Forest Department to keep ample availability of firewood for mosques ahead of winter season.

The locals have extended their gratitude to the visiting Member Parliament and expressed hope that all the assurances will be fulfilled very soon.
