New Delhi: On the fifth consecutive day of the indefinite hunger strike by incarcerated Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid, his younger son, Asrar Rashid, visited him in Tihar Jail, New Delhi. Asrar revealed through a social media post that Engineer Rashid has lost five kilogram weight in just four days but remains steadfast in his fight for justice.

The Chief Spokesperson of Awami Ittihad Party (AIP), Inam Un Nabi, expressed solidarity with Engineer Rashid and reiterated the party’s unwavering faith in the Indian judiciary and Constitution. “We firmly believe in the principles enshrined in the Constitution of India and are confident that justice will prevail. Engineer Rashid’s dedication to his mission for democracy and truth reflects his unyielding spirit,” states Inam Un Nabi in a statement issued to Alfaaz – The Words.

AIP recently launched a “Release Er Rashid Campaign” pledging to reach every corner of the state, highlight injustices, and amplify the people’s grievances.

The party continues to appeal for justice for Engineer Rashid while demanding immediate attention to his deteriorating health.
