Legislator Says Public Library Will Be Established in Each Block of Langate Constituency
Srinagar: MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed on Thursday chaired a series of meetings with the heads of various departments in Srinagar to discuss issues of public importance.
Sheikh, who also is Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) Chairman of Awami Ittihad Party, met the Director Agriculture, Iqbal Choudhary, Director Rural Development, Shabir Ahmad, Director Urban & local bodies Iqramullah Tak, besides calling on Director libraries Kashmir to discuss various public issues pertaining to Langate Constituency.
While interacting with Director Agriculture Kashmir, Sheikh Khursheed discussed organic village programme, opportunities under Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), poly films, hybrid vegetable seeds for Kharif. He also discussed lavender and medicinal farming across Langate.
MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed also met the Director Rural Development Department, where he discussed a range of public issues pertaining to Langate Constituency.
He discussed PMAY house pending payments and also sought early release of pending MGNREGA payments.
In order to ensure smooth functioning and delivery of works across Langate, Sheikh highlighted the staff shortage in various blocks of Langate constituency.
Setting up of libraries for students across Langate constituency would be my priority, Sheikh said while meeting the Director Libraries.
He said that he is planning to establish a library in each block of Langate constituency. On this Director Libraries promised his full support and cooperation.
MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed also met Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir, Iqramullah Tak, where he apprised him about the Solid Waste management plan in Langate town and other issues to keep the town neat and clean. He also discussed beautification of town, Drainage system and tiling of streets across town.
He also highlighted the deficiency of machinery in Langate town.
In an open talk conducted by Gulistan TV, MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed stressed on the execution of languished projects, including restoration of Dandkadal Bridge and Batagund Bridge.
