Minister of Education Sakina Masood Itoo Approves Advertisement of 575 Lecturer Posts

Srinagar: In a significant push to fill up the vacancies in Education Department, the incumbent Minister of Education Sakina Masood Itoo Tuesday informed to have approved advertisement of 577 lecturer posts in different streams.

Taking to micro-blogging site ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Itoo, as per Alfaaz – The Words, wrote, “We have started to fulfil the promise of Hon’ble CM Jb @OmarAbdullah Sb with regard to providing jobs to unemployed youth of J&K. I have approved the advertisement of 575 (+2) lecturers of different streams, in School Education Department. The posts are being referred to JKPSC (sic.).”

Itoo, notably, is lone woman minister in JKNC-led government, having portfolios of health and medical education department, along with school education, higher education and social welfare,
