‘Militant Associate’ Apprehended With Arms, Ammo in Handwara: Police

Handwara: Security forces on Tuesday claimed to have apprehended a ‘militant associate’ during a cordon-and-search-operation in Handwara.

“Today on 5-11-24, during Cordon and Search Operation at Bongam Chogul Jd Of Police Station Handwara, Police Handwara along with 22RR and 92 BN CRPF, apprehended one terrorist associate namely Ashiq Hussain Wani, son of Ab Kareem Wani, resident of Tujjer Shareif Sopore,” said a Police spokesman as per Alfaaz – The Words, adding that from the possession of arrestee a Pistol along with a Magzine and seven live rounds were recovered.

“In this regard a case FIR No. 200/2024 under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Handwara and the investigation is underway,” the Spokesman further said.
