Middle-aged Man Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances in Magam Handwara

Handwara: Body of a 50-year-old person was found under mysterious circumstances in Magam area of Handwara on Wednesday evening.  

Reports reaching Alfaaz – The Words, said that a body was spotted by some people lying nearby an orchard in Upper Magam. Soon after, a police team arrived at the spot and took the body into its possession for requisite medico-legal formalities.

The deceased has been identified as one Abdul Rasheed Lone, son of Mohammad Akbar Lone, a resident of Magam Handwara.

When contacted, SSP Handwara Mushtaq Chowdhary told Alfaaz – The Words, that they are investigating all possible angles to ascertain the cause of the death. “As of now inquest proceedings have been initiated into the matter,” the police officer said, adding “details as they emerge will be shared accordingly.”
