Kupwara: In a concerted effort to boost school admissions and promote inclusive education, the Education Department Kupwara organized a Mega Enrollment Drive across Wader Bala Zone, Rajwar, and Gulgam, which received an overwhelming response from the local community.

The drive recorded a substantial number of new admissions, reflecting both the dedication of the teaching fraternity and the growing public trust in government-run schools. Notably, several students transitioned from private institutionsโ€”an encouraging sign of renewed confidence in public education.

The events witnessed active participation from parents and guardians, who personally accompanied their children for enrollment, turning the initiative into a celebration of learning. The newly admitted students expressed joy and pride in joining their new schools, making the drive a heartening success story for the education sector in the district.

Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kupwara, Mehraj ud Din Shah, who presided over both events, reiterated the departmentโ€™s steadfast commitment to ensuring universal access to education, community participation, and quality learning opportunities for all children across Kupwara.

Speaking to Alfaaz โ€“ The Words, CEO Mehraj ud Din Shah said, โ€œThe enrollment drive is part of a continuous initiative to motivate parents and strengthen their faith in government schools. Directions have been issued to all ZEOs to vigorously mobilize their staff and conduct such drives regularly to bring more children under the fold of formal education. We have a highly qualified teaching cadre and the required infrastructure to provide quality education to every student.โ€

Among those present at the Rajwar event were ZEO Rajwar Shabir Ahmed Bhadana, Cluster Head Peer Hafeezullah, and District Cultural Coordinator Javid Abdullah, alongside teachers, officers, and community representatives.
