Man from Kashmir Dies of Cardiac Arrest While Performing Circumambulation Around Holy Ka’aba

Srinagar: Ghulam Mohammad Wani of Zewan Police Colony Srinagar died in wee hours on Friday in Medina while performing circumambulation around Holy Khana Ka’aba.

A close relative of the deceased while confirming the death said that he died after suffering a massive cardiac arrest this morning. He was in his 70’s.

The deceased was the father of Sayaar Ahmad Wani, Zahoor Ahmad Wani – performing their duties in the police department as ‘Police Operator’ and ‘Station House Officer’ respectively.

The funeral in absentia of the deceased is scheduled to be held at his native village Zewan Police Colony Srinagar at 3 PM sharp today (Friday).

Meanwhile religious and political organisations have extended their heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family and have prayed for solace to the departed soul.
