Man Found Dead in Tarathpora Kupwara, Suicide Suspected

Handwara: A 35-year-old man was on Sunday evening found dead at his home in Lilam Tarathpora Kupwara, with the preliminary cause of death being attributed to suicide.

As per reports, an individual namely Mohammad Yousuf Khan, son of Noordin Khan, a resident of Lilam Tarathpora Ramhall in Handwara, was found hanging by a rope at his home this evening.

The body of the individual was evacuated to District Hospital Handwara for postmortem.

When contacted, a police officer told Alfaaz – The Words, that it prima-facie looks a suicide. “Cognisance into the incident has been taken, even as the body sent for postmortem,” the officer said, adding, “It would be still too early to say anything as we await the details of medical procedures and formalities.”
