Lolab: The Lolab-based literary body Shehjaar I Adab Lolab organized a captivating poetic symposium (Mehfil-e-Mushaira) on Tuesday at Government Boys Middle School, Saiwan, Lolab.
The event, lasting for several hours, commenced with the recitation of verses from “The Holy Quran”, followed by a “Naat-e-Shareef”.
The Poetic Symposium was presided over by the renowned writer and former headmaster Sultan Shooq, while Bilal Masoodi, the President of Teachers’ Forum Zone Sogam, graced the occasion as the “Guest of Honour”.
Other literary figures associated with the body were also present, arriving from various locations using any transport available to them.
The symposium featured around 12 poets who presented their Kala’ams, receiving a warm and enthusiastic response from the audience. The poets who participated in the Mehfil-e-Mushaira included Ra’ashid Manzoor, Anwar Aajiz, Sultan Shooq, Bashir Shahid, Manzoor Mohsin, Parvaiz Parwaaz, Khursheed Tabish, Lone Irshad, Tahir Lalpori, Nayeema Siraj, Younis Lolabi, and Ashraf Aadil.
Throughout the event, the poets enthralled the audience, who responded with applause and admiration.
President of Shehjaar I Adab Lolab, Ra’ashid Manzoor, unequivocally extended his heartfelt thanks to all the participants, acknowledging their role in making the event a grand success.

The event’s formal proceedings were overseen by Ashraf Aadil, the General Secretary of Shehjaar I Adab Lolab, who expertly managed the arrangements.
